The mission of Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA) aligns seamlessly with Qunity’s core values of inclusion, community impact, and the cultivation of future leaders. Since its founding in 1912—years before women secured the right to vote—GSUSA has championed an inclusive vision for girls of every background. This legacy strongly mirrors Qunity’s dedication to uplifting underrepresented groups, including our commitment to equitable opportunities and support of Underutilized Business Enterprises (UBEs) across the communities we serve.

Our connection is especially meaningful through our relationship with the Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines (NCCP), the chapter that many of our team members and their families call home.

Pioneering Progress and Lifelong Learning

Historically, the Girl Scouts opened pathways to skills once withheld from women—woodworking, navigation, engineering, and countless hands‑on STEM activities. This emphasis on curiosity, capability, and lifelong learning reflects Qunity’s own organizational culture. Just as the Girl Scouts broadened possibilities for generations of girls, Qunity empowers our teams to innovate through technical expertise, creative problem‑solving, and continuous professional development.

Many Qunity staff members are former Girl Scouts themselves, carrying forward the confidence, leadership, and sense of community they gained during their youth. This lived connection deepens our appreciation for the organization’s mission and impact.

Environmental Stewardship & Resilient Design

Environmental advocacy lies at the heart of both organizations. The Girl Scouts’ commitment to outdoor exploration, conservation, and sustainable practices directly parallels Qunity’s work in landscape architecture, land planning, and resilient infrastructure.

We share a belief in creating functional, community-centered environments and in raising environmentally conscious citizens who care for the health of our shared spaces. This alignment has made collaboration with the NCCP chapter particularly meaningful.

Investing in the Next Generation

Girl Scouts of the USA continues to expand opportunities in STEM—areas where women remain underrepresented. This directly aligns with Qunity’s mission to diversify technical fields and cultivate the next generation of designers, thinkers, and problem‑solvers.

For many at Qunity, this connection is personal. Several of our team members have daughters active in Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines, witnessing firsthand how the program builds confidence, life skills, and early leadership. In addition, Qunity and its staff—both currently and while at previous firms—have directly supported NCCP through volunteer design efforts and small project contributions, strengthening our relationship with this reputable and impactful institution.

Qunity remains intentional about aligning with organizations that champion the advancement of girls and the empowerment of future leaders. Supporting GSUSA and the NCCP chapter is an extension of that core belief.

Support the NCCP Chapter

Have a sweet tooth? The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the chapter’s primary source of funding, and Cookie Season runs from till early April. The proceeds support troop activities, leadership development, camp experiences, STEM programming, and essential chapter operations. This program is a prime example of the Girl Scouts' entrepreneurial spirit!
