Located in the heart of Durham, the Northgate Park improvements focused on revitalizing a beloved community play space to enhance accessibility, safety, and recreational value. The scope included the replacement of outdated tot lot equipment, removal of existing swings, and installation of a new swing set adjacent to the parking area—complete with perimeter fencing for added security.
To improve connectivity and meet ADA standards, a new accessible sidewalk was introduced, linking the swing area directly to the parking lot. Additional site upgrades included the installation of new curbing around existing play zones to define space and improve drainage.
