Indian Trail Park Improvements

The Indian Trail Park project focused on enhancing accessibility, safety, and recreational value for one of Durham’s well-loved neighborhood parks. The scope included repaving the existing gravel parking lot with asphalt to improve durability and user experience, along with modifications to ADA parking spaces and associated amenities such as updated signage, wheelstops, and guardrails.
To ensure full ADA compliance, the project also involved the replacement of aging sidewalks to create accessible routes throughout the site. In addition, Qunity led the design of new playground features to enrich the park’s recreational offerings for families and children.
Qunity provided comprehensive civil engineering, landscape architecture, construction administration, and inspection services. The team also managed coordination with sub-consultants including land surveyors, environmental specialists, geomatics professionals, MEP engineers, and hazardous materials experts. A key milestone in the project was securing a Floodplain Development Permit, ensuring all improvements were responsibly designed within regulatory constraints.
